A series of editorial spreads to celebrate rock n roll history, from some of the world’s greatest musicians. Including Bob Dylan, David Bowie and Queen.
I wanted to develop my skills in editorial design, whilst keeping the subject matter close to something I care about, music. I took inspiration from some of my favourite rock and roll photographers such as; Jim Marshall, Mick Rock and Jerry Schatzberg. Photographers who captured both on stage and off stage moments from the world’s most famous musicians.
The goal of this self-initiated project was to challenge myself with representing a musician through one double page spread. To capture the humanity behind the performer, to engage the audience to what the musician is trying to tell people through their music, but to also represent this through my passion for editorial design.
