The main focus of this campaign was to raise awareness and encourage young people to vote. I developed a poster series in which visually tackled key issues that related to my chosen target audience of young people between the ages of 18-25+. I have the advantage that I am within the target age group for the campaign, therefore I have the understanding of how 18 to 25 year old voters think and the political issues that effect them; for example, why they don’t vote.
I designed the posters to emulate various people having their voting rights ripped away from them. For example, their voice, sight and mind. This was to signify how young people are brain-washed by social media and news stories into believing that their vote doesn't matter. This campaign was designed around stopping this issue and to encourage young people to take a stand and fight for what they believe in.
